Barça Set to Play First Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition 30 months since relocating so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

Barça organized an open training session at the Camp Nou earlier this month. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
