David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.

The comedian

Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

A spokesman for the firm commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour directed at women.

The company declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."

A Highly Successful Literary Career

Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Several of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.

He has published over four dozen titles combined, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

A Dual Career

His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.

This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
