No Script, Anthony Joshua Will Quickly Stop Jake Paul Out - Hearn States

I've got no substantial defence regarding Anthony Joshua versus Paul. It's insane the fact it's taking place and I believe the critics are right.

However, we just couldn't reject it. No fighter who is sensible would have declined. Anyone who says they'd refuse is utterly dishonest outright.

We took a fight which we believe will be extremely easy, will provide AJ a massive profile in the United States and one of his career-high paydays.

The Strategy For the Fight

AJ was going to have a tune-up bout in November in Saudi - an eight-rounder versus a guy ranked about 100th in the world heavyweight division.

It was an opportunity to get his hands wrapped with his fresh coaching staff, do the ringwalk and go through the motions. Currently, we're doing that exact run-out but for about fifty times the money.

We have a clear strategy planned - to stop Jake Paul out as soon as possible. Then, we return to regular business resuming in 2026.

AJ will fight versus a world-class opponent next February and - should things go to plan - he will then fight Fury.

So there is logic behind this craziness and accepting this bout will not harm Joshua's legacy. But a loss against Jake or it even going the full distance would.

That would be a complete disaster and awfully humiliating.

Paul vs Joshua Is Not Scripted

A great many individuals have asked me asking whether it's fixed. Firstly, we would be investigated by the FBI if it was. It would be against the law. This constitutes a professional contest and an officially sanctioned match on which people are betting.

And do you think I would ever permit AJ to follow a pre-written plan involving Jake? A script in which we could lose or even make him look bad? Absolutely not.

We are not providing this guy an edge or a chance to say "I told you I was better than AJ" or "I took rounds from him". That would be devastating for Anthony Joshua and we will not take that risk.

Expectations for an Quick Knockout

There are also those who say if AJ doesn't stop him inside the first round then it is an embarrassment.

He is expected to walk through this opponent but, goodness, allow him two to three stanzas just in case. Because Jake's approach will determine the pace of destruction.

Should he come forward, it will all be over quickly. But if he fights on the back foot and attempting to clinch and jab and move, then he might survive a few rounds.

We're not going to see AJ charge across the squared circle in the first few seconds and begin swinging wildly.

Just like he did against Ngannou, he will step in there, measure him up and then go in with the heavy artillery.

Jake Paul Has the Ability to Whack a Little Bit

I have heard figures like Roy Jones Jr and Atlas stating you can't count Jake Paul out in this fight. Am I going crazy here Is there something they see that I am missing?

Let us be one thing clear - Jake is a pro fighter. I believe he's a decent 200-pound fighter - top 60 or 70 globally.

This isn't a guy who has never put on boxing gloves before. He can punch a little bit. He's sparring Lawrence Okolie and top-10 heavyweights.

Forgetting the victory against Mike Tyson, who was then an old man, Jake defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr - who might have been a done fighter but was hardly a complete mug.

Chavez Jr prepared for that bout and had been a titleholder who went to points against Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and nearly stopped Sergio Martinez in the final round.

Therefore I give credit to Jake for his hard work and demonstrating respect to the craft , and he has accomplished a great deal for female boxing through his promotion company.

Yet despite his delusion, passion, dedication and enhanced ability, he ought to be being knocked out by Joshua.

The Moment AJ Lands, It's Over

Jake and his team are banking on a lot of things. Banking on AJ is underestimating him, hoping AJ is shot, hoping AJ's lack of activity will cost him, banking on AJ is low in confidence, banking on AJ's durability isn't what it once was.

However, unfortunately for them, AJ is super focused. He has completed a training camp and he is preparing as if he is facing Usyk or in a potential Daniel Dubois second fight.

I anticipate Anthony Joshua to win within two rounds with a devastating knockout.

He could hit Jake to the midsection and it could break his ribs and he wouldn't be able to rise.

Should he land flush, he will put him to sleep. Alternatively could jump in.

We don't know exactly how it will unfold but with the way AJ punches - with his speed and destruction - the instant a punch lands clean, the contest will end.

Then the focus returns to AJ's two goals he wants to achieve in the time he has left in boxing - to fight Fury and to be crowned a three-time heavyweight champion of the world.
